How to Join

Membership in the American Women's Club of Düsseldorf is open to all inhabitants of the Düsseldorf area, including the Ruhrgebeit (Ruhr River Region) and lower Rhein area. 

We are an international club with members (women and men) from over 25 different countries. The only requirement is a willingness to speak (or to try to speak) English in an American cultural setting.

Yearly dues for the club year (running June-May) are show at the right.  

To Become a Member:

1. Register with this website:

   You will be granted conditional access to a portion of the member only section which will be confirmed by a welcome e-mail.
   
   
2. Complete your member profile & application.
   
   Log in and click on your name (blue field, lower left) to pull up your profile.  Please fill in the fields on all of the tabs. You can change tabs by clicking on the individual blue buttons on the top (e.g. Private, Family, Volunteer, Member).
   Don't forget to click the save button at the bottom of each tab before starting a new tab. The information you provide will help us to process your membership application.
   
   
3. Pay your membership dues.
   
   The dues for the 2011 - 2012 Club year (June 1, 2011 - May 31, 2012) are 80 euro.
   
   Note:
   Reduced membership dues for the reminder of the club year (Jan 1 - May 31, 2012) are 40 euro.
   
   You can pay in different ways:
   
   
   • Überweisung (bank transfer) - see info on the right
   • Paypal - see info on the right 
   • cash at an event
   • a special arrangement with the membership committee (membership@awcduesseldorf.org).

Once these three steps have been completed, you will be granted membership to the AWCD. You will receive full access to the website, which includes the online member directory and the member question-and-answer forum, and a new member packet containing our Radschläger magazine and a printed club directory.
