Americans and other internationals living in Germany do, of course, have to know and observe local laws. But they still need to be aware of what they need to do to meet their obligations to their home country, and should know as well what services and support their home country offers them.
The American Women's Club of Düsseldorf can't supply you with a comprehensive guide to U.S. and German laws and services. But here we make a small offering to get you started.
Whether you call it "Drizzledorf" - on bad weather days - or "Dazzledorf" -it's always the jewel of the Rhine - welcome and good luck!
Please note we are not experts in the areas of U.S. and German law or taxes; we are providing this information and these links based on our current understanding and make no guarantees as to completeness or accuracy. We hope you understand - and that you will also let us know if you have new or additional information to share.
